Kimberly Werfal and Sean Mueller are engaged and planning a Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011, wedding at St. Bernard Catholic Parish, Appleton. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Brenda and Frank Werfal, Milton. She graduated from Milton High School, Milton, in 2000, and received a degree in nursing from UW-Milwaukee in 2004. She is employed by Appleton Medical Center, Appleton. Her fiancé is the son of Catherine Ball, Neenah, the late Charles Ball and Wayne Mueller, Suamico. He graduated from Neenah High School, Neenah, in 1995. He received a degree in emergency medical services and firefighting from Fox Valley Technical College, Appleton, in 2002, and is attending the college to receive a degree in criminal justice. He is employed by Gold Cross Ambulance, Appleton.

Nicole Joyce Wagner and Daniel Lake Calverley are engaged and planning a Saturday, May 29, wedding at Cargill United Methodist Church, Janesville. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Jacqueline and Robert Wagner, West Palm Beach, Fla. She is employed by Charter Communications, Madison. Her fiancé is the son of David Calverley, Janesville, and the late Melinda Calverley. He is employed by Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Madison.

Jamie Lyden and Michael Olson were married Saturday, Sept. 12, at St. John’s United Church of Christ, Monroe. Their parents are Sandra Lyden, LaCrosse, and Rosemary and James Olson, Albany. Maura Devanie, friend of the bride, was the maid of honor. Andrew Houlberg, friend of the groom, was the best man. The bride graduated from La Crosse Central High School, La Crosse, in 1998. She received a degree in sociology from UW-La Crosse in 2002, and a juris doctor degree from Valparaiso University School of Law, Valparaiso, Ind., in 2007. She is employed by Consigny, Andrew, Hemming, and Grant, Janesville and Brodhead. The groom graduated from Albany High School, Albany, in 1998, and received a degree in business from UW-Platteville in 2002, and a degree from UW-Madison School of Banking, in 2009. He is employed by Bank of Brodhead, Brodhead. The newlyweds reside in Brodhead.

Kristin Dilley and Robert Jack were married Saturday, May 23, at First Lutheran Church, Janesville. Their parents are Sharon and Jerry Dilley, Janesville, and Debra and Randall Jack, Appleton. Jaclyn Hullah, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor. Derek Jack, brother of the groom, was the best man. The bride graduated from Craig High School, Janesville, in 2002, and received a degree in biology from UW-Platteville in 2006. She is employed by Deer-Grove Veterinary Clinic, Cottage Grove. The groom graduated from Appleton East High School, Appleton, in 2003, and received a degree in civil engineering from UW-Platteville in 2008. He is employed by Strand Associates, Madison. The newlyweds reside in Sun Prairie.

Anniversary

JANESVILLE—Marlys and James Martelle celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip in August to the Canadian Rockies and a family dinner at the Janesville Country Club. Martelle and Marlys Murphy were married Nov. 28, 1959, at Harpers Ferry, Iowa. He is retired from General Motors, Janesville. She is retired from Parker Pen, Janesville. Their family includes Chris and Dave Martelle, Colleen and Dale Martelle, Denise and Mike Thompson, and Deanna and Chris Wallace, all of Janesville. They also have nine grandchildren.

JANESVILLE—Marilyn and Daniel Bird celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary with a family dinner. They will also be taking a trip at a later date. Bird and Marilyn Stanke were married Dec. 3, 1979, in Janesville. He is employed by Premier Vending, Janesville. She is employed by Simmons Manufacturing, Janesville. Their family includes Nathan Bird, Nichole Bird and Nate Manz, and Noreen and Shawn Johnson, all of Janesville; and Mitzie and Dave Phillips, Fayetteville.
