JANESVILLE—Ruth I. and Edwin C. Burhans celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary with family and friends. Burhans and Ruth Irene Joitel were married April 13, 1940, in Dubuque, Iowa. He is retired from the city of Janesville water department. She is retired from waitressing and various office duties. Their family includes Dianne and Roy Cook, Temecula, Calif.; Sandra and Jesse Louison, Janesville; Joanne and Dick Dull, Rochester, Minn.; Joyce and Dave Kinservik, Mesa, Ariz.; Venus Burhans, Houston, Texas and the late Ronald Burhans.
