Makensie Vivianne Gilson and Tyler James Watson are engaged and planning a Saturday, May 30, wedding at Holy Cross Episcopal Church, Wisconsin Dells. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Tammy and Craig Brockman, Camp Douglas; and Kenny and Tracy Gilson, Tomah. She graduated from Tomah Area High School, Tomah, in 2005, and received a degree in criminal justice from UW-Platteville in 2009. Her fiancé is the son of Peggy and Neil Watson, Elkhorn. He graduated from Elkhorn High School, Elkhorn, in 2004, and received a degree in ornamental horticulture from UW-Platteville in 2008. He is employed by Breezy Hill Nursery, Salem.

Kristen Ann Boehning and Nathan Thomas Paiser are engaged and planning a Saturday, June 12, wedding at the MacKenzie Environmental Education Center, Poynette. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Cynthia and Jerry Boehning, Janesville. She graduated from Craig High School, Janesville, in 2002, and received a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry from Edgewood College, Madison, in 2007. She is employed by UW-Madison College of Agricultural Life Science and Dairy Science Department, Madison, as the dairy manager. Her fiancé is the son of Peggy and Thomas Paiser, Pardeeville. He graduated from Pardeeville High School, Pardeeville, in 2000, and received a degree in dairy science from UW-Baraboo. He is employed by UW-Madison College of Agricultural Life Science and Dairy Science Department Arlington Research Station, Arlington, as the dairy manager.

Bethany Babcock and Daniel Gnatzig were married Saturday, July 25, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Whitewater. Their parents are Karen and Rick Babcock, and Susan and Hugh Gnatzig, all of Whitewater. Natalie Babcock, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Ross Babcock, brother of the bride, was the best man. The bride graduated from Whitewater High School, Whitewater, in 2002, and received a degree in interior design from Madison Area Technical College, Madison, in 2005. She is employed by Home Lumber Kitchen and Bath, Whitewater. The groom graduated from Whitewater High School, Whitewater, in 2000, and received a degree in physical education from UW-Whitewater in 2005. He is employed by Whitewater Unified School District, Whitewater. The newlyweds reside in Whitewater.

She is employed by Dousman Elementary School, Dousman, as a second grade teacher. The groom graduated from Parker High School, Janesville, in 2003, and received a degree in pharmacy from UW-Madison in 2009. He is employed by the Target Pharmacy, Waukesha, as a pharmacist. The newlyweds reside in Pewaukee.

Their parents are Diana and James Kattner, McHenry, Ill., and Maureen and Harold Hanauska, Milton. Cheryl Rudnick, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor. Nick Berge, friend of the groom, was the best man. The bride received a degree in business management from McHenry County College, Crystal Lake, Ill., in 2001, and is employed by Follett Library Resources, McHenry, Ill. The groom received a degree in welding in 1999, and in agriculture in 2008, from Blackhawk Technical College, Janesville. He is employed by Cooperative Plus, Whitewater. The newlyweds reside in Milton.

ELKHORN—Patricia and James Ehlen celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at the Duck Inn, Delavan. Ehlen and Patricia Germann were married July 11, 1959, in Lyons. He is self employed as a farmer in Elkhorn. She is retired from Aurora Medical Center, Elkhorn, as a nurse. Their family includes Lynn and Jeff Ehlen, and Karen and Rick Babcock, all of Whitewater; Jeanne and Ken Ehlen, Cambridge; Kris and Troy Brown, Reedsville; Jennifer and Mike Sipple, Denmark; Jill and David Vance, Delavan; and Angie and Joel Ehlen, Elkhorn. They also have 21 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
