Kayla Hedley and Jesse Crane were married Sunday, Oct. 4, at Dubuque Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, Dubuque, Iowa. Their parents are Joleen and James Hedley, Dubuque, Iowa, and Margaret and Ronald Crane Jr., Delavan. Katie Hemmer, friend of the couple, was the maid of honor. Luke Markham, friend of the couple, was the best man. The bride received a master’s degree in school counseling from Buena Vista University, Storm Lake, Iowa. She is employed by Big Brothers Big Sisters, Waterloo, Iowa. The groom received a degree in mechanical engineering from UW-Platteville in 2006. He is employed by John Deere Product Engineering Center, Waterloo, Iowa. The newlyweds reside in Waterloo, Iowa.

JANESVILLE—Phyllis and Byron Miller celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary with family. Miller and Phyllis Parr were married Sept. 8, 1946, in Westby. He is retired from General Motors, Janesville. Their family includes Louise and Ed Miller, Baldwin; Kathy Whitney, Payne, Ohio; Jackie Sweatt, Shelia and Clifford St. Clair, Justin Miller, Rusty Miller, and Kim Acosta, all of Janesville. They also have 21 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.

MILTON—Virginia and Lowell Pepper celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary with a family gathering in August at the Milton Family Restaurant, Milton. Pepper and Virginia Schoonover were married June 19, 1954, in Rockford, Ill. He is retired from General Motors, Janesville. She is retired as a volunteer 4-H Leader and church helper in Johnstown. Their family includes Connie and Tom McKearn, Whitewater; Kathleen Walker, Pahoa, Hawaii; Andrea Pepper, Milton, and the late Marlene Pepper. They also have nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

DARIEN—Barbara and Duane Gretschmann celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family picnic, toured the Pacific Northwest and went on a cruise in Alaska. Gretschmann and Barbara Busjahn were married Aug. 8, 1959, in Beloit. He is retired from General Motors, Janesville, and is currently farming. She is retired from the Clinton School District. Their family includes Susana and Timothy Gretschmann, Malaga, Spain; Julie and Mike Krause, and Kim and Thomas Gretschmann, all of Darien; Karen Gretschmann, Pardeeville; and Julie and Scott Gretschmann, Clinton. They also have 12 grandchildren.
