Joni Hennig and Michael Press are engaged and planning a Saturday, Sept. 8, wedding at Lakelawn Resort, Delavan.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Donna and Paul Hennig, Sharon. She graduated from Big Foot High School, Walworth, in 2000 and majored in early childhood education at Blackhawk Technical College. She is employed by Sharon Community School, Sharon.

Her fiancé is the son of Phyllis Press, Kendall, and Michael Press, Windber, Pa. He graduated from Royall High School, Elroy, in 1996 and received a degree in electrical engineering technology from Milwaukee School of Engineering in 2011. He is employed by Danfoss, Rockford, Ill.

Alicia Marie Kotwitz and Nickolas R.C. Hammon are engaged and planning a Saturday, Aug. 18, wedding at St. John the Baptist Church, Egg Harbor.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mary and Larry Kotwitz, Edgerton. She graduated from Milton High School, Milton, in 2007 and received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Edgewood College in 2011. She is employed by Monroe Hospital Family Birth Center, Monroe.

Her fiancé is the son of Kay and Larry Liebel, Milton, and Donald and Lori Hammon, Whitewater. He graduated from Milton High School, Milton, in 2007 and is attending Madison Area Technical College. He is employed by Freedom Graphics System, Milton.

Laura Vohs and Ryan Schiel are engaged and planning a Saturday, Sept. 8, wedding at Grant River Recreation Area, Potosi.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Vicki and Terry and Vohs, Milton. She graduated from Milton High School, Milton, in 1989 and received a cosmetology certification from Martin’s College of Cosmetology in 2004. She is employed by Hair Designs by Phil, Janesville.

Her fiancé is the son of Jody and Jon Schiel, Janesville. He graduated from Parker High School, Janesville, in 1995 and is employed by Provisur Technologies, Whitewater.

Strunz and Deal

Wedding

Emily Strunz and Steven Deal were married Saturday, May 26, at Rotary Botanical Gardens, Janesville.

Their parents are Julie and Joseph Strunz and Darlene and Larry Deal, all of Janesville.

Monica Strunz, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Ryan Deal, brother of the groom, was the best man.

The bride graduated from Parker High School, Janesville, in 2006 and received a degree in radiologic technology from UW-Milwaukee in 2010. She is employed by Elmore Medical Center, Mountain Home, Idaho, and St. Luke’s Hospital, Boise, Idaho.

The groom graduated from Craig High School, Janesville, in 2004 and received a degree in health performance and recreation from UW-Whitewater in 2009. He is employed by the United States Air Force, Mountain Home, Idaho.

The newlyweds reside in Mountain Home, Idaho.

MILTON—Lana and Paul Steinke will celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary Aug. 6.

Steinke and Lana Heimann were married Aug. 6, 1977, in Janesville. They are both retired from General Motors, Janesville.

Their family includes Michelle and Mike Kosak, Roscoe, Ill., and Mike and Carie Steinke and Nicole and Mo Sikich, all of Janesville. They also have eight grandchildren.

MILTON—Karen and Gary Clemo will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house starting at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at their home at 14 E. Elizabeth St.

Clemo and Karen Friedli were married Aug. 11, 1962, in Barneveld. He is retired from the Milton School District. She also is retired.

Their family includes Christina Beam, Deerfield; Domnick Clemo, Kaukauna; and Melissa Clemo, Beloit. They also have six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

JANESVILLE—Jennylee and Thomas Hillebrand celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner.

Hillebrand and Jennylee Stiphany were married Aug. 4, 1962, in Ludington, Mich. He is retired from Angus Young Associates, Janesville. She is retired from the Janesville School District.

Their family includes Joan and John Neumiller, Mahtomedi, Minn.; the late Thomas Hillebrand; Eric Hillebrand and Carla Aiello, Hyannis Port, Mass.; Mary Hillebrand and Angela Hickerson, Washington, D.C.; and Nick and Amanda Hillebrand, East Peoria, Ill. They also have six grandchildren.

JANESVILLE—Shirley and Roland Swaim celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 4.

Swaim and Shirley Strasburg were married Aug. 4, 1962, in Fall Creek. He is retired from GMAD, Janesville. She is retired from Loving Arms Preschool, Janesville.

Their family includes Julie and Ted Treinen, Janesville; Janet Swaim, Stoughton; and David Swaim, Beloit. They also have two grandchildren.

JANESVILLE—Susan and Vince Visger will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a party hosted by their children from 5 p.m. to midnight Saturday, Aug. 11, at the Bass Creek Golf Course banquet room, 1303 S. Murphy Road. There will be a disc jockey at 8 p.m. for dancing.

Visger and Susan Schwartzlow were married Aug. 11, 1962, in Brodhead. He is retired from General Motors, Janesville.

Stoney and Betty Krug were married Aug. 17, 1952, in East Troy. He is a retired rural letter carrier. She is a homemaker.
