City of Janesville refines requirements for electronic billboards
JANESVILLE Janesville's city planners are refining the requirements for new electronic billboards.
For every new electronic billboard a company would need to remove one of its non-conforming static billboards, says Gale Price, manager of building and development services. The non-conforming billboards are typically in residential neighborhoods. The city could waive that requirement for companies that don't have many billboards in Janesville because the city doesn't want to put companies at a competitive disadvantage.
A moratorium on new electronic billboards expires February 27.
