— A Delavan man is accused of stealing a stripper’s purse and then hitting her with his sport utility vehicle as she confronted him in the parking lot.

The woman, 22, told police she saw Daniel Robinson, 36, of 826 Shady Ave., take her purse and leave the Show Palace strip club the night of May 18, according to a criminal complaint.

She and a bouncer followed him into the parking lot. The woman opened up the door of the Ford Bronco that Robinson was in and yelled at Robinson to give her purse back. Robinson put the SUV in reverse and dragged the woman 25 feet before striking a pole and speeding off on Highway 14, according to the complaint.

The woman suffered a broken wrist.

Police found Robinson at a Delavan home wearing the same clothing the woman described. He had a blood alcohol level of 0.179 percent, more than twice Wisconsin’s 0.08 percent limit for driving, according to the complaint.

Robinson faces felony charges of injury by intoxicated use of a vehicle and hit and run causing great bodily harm. Misdemeanor charges include theft and disorderly conduct. He also was ordered to avoid contact with the strip club.

Robinson was released a signature bond on Tuesday. A preliminary hearing is set for Tuesday, Nov. 13.

Clean your glasses Blacklirsh, the figure in the story is .179 not 1.79, .179 is "intoxicated" but not medically dangerous.

Sadly enough, the only punishment this ass probably cared about is being banned from the strip club.
