Jesuit order severing ties to McGuire
ELKHORN — McGuire’s Jesuit order, the Chicago Province of the Society of Jesus, apparently is severing ties with the retired priest.
In a letter to Judge James Carlson, the Rev. Edward W. Schmidt asks that McGuire be jailed because he cannot be watched closely by the Jesuits.
“Clearly, the only failsafe mechanism to ensure the public’s safety would be to order that McGuire begin to serve his sentence and thus be incarcerated,” according to the letter.
McGuire living alone in an apartment “causes me and many others serious concern,” Schmidt wrote.
The province is concerned enough about McGuire that it is hiring a private security company to monitor McGuire’s movements at his home.
McGuire recently was accused of molesting another boy, now age 21, as recently as 2003, according to court documents.

Gee the Jesuits waited 35+ years to decide that they could not get this renegade to follow his vows. They want the justice system to do what they can not, get this monster under control. And why do they want the justice system to do this, because mcguire is a walking time-bomb, a serial molestor of young boys. The Jesuits hid the files on him from the Walworth county DA. They denied, under oath, in Walworth, that he had any history of abuse. Shame on the Jesuits...

The Jesuits are the FIRST to ask a judge to jail their own pedophile member - have the Christian Brothers or the Franciscans (who have more pedophile brotehrs and priests members) ever done that?
