Rock County libraries will soon link

ROCK COUNTY — A new online catalog will soon link every Rock County public library, allowing patrons to access materials and have them delivered to their library.

Arrowhead Library System Director Ruth Ann Montgomery says the new RockCat system is like interlibrary loans, only better. She says the holdings are available in one place for both staff and the public to use, which makes items easier to find. She says libraries in Beloit, Janesville and Edgerton are already using the system and keeping very busy with it. Montgomery says deliveries between libraries already using RockCat have doubled in size.

The remaining four libraries begin using the system November 19th.
