— A Lake Geneva man is accused of violently raping a woman in his home Oct. 19.

The 33-year-old woman told a Lake Geneva detective that James K. Ross, 51, 309 Cook St., slammed her head into a closet door and whipped her head with a belt before raping her, according to a criminal complaint.

The woman said she tried to leave four times when she thought Ross was asleep, but he would wake up, grab her hair and pull her back, according to the complaint.

She stayed awake all night afraid he would rape or beat her again, according to the complaint.

Ross faces more than 46 years in prison for felony charges of second-degree sexual assault and false imprisonment, and simple battery, a misdemeanor.

A preliminary hearing is set for Wednesday.

I think you all need to remember that there are REAL people involved here. I don't know what was said, but often on blogs such as this, people get much braver then they ever would be in real life one on one conversations.

Speaking the truth, but maintaining integrity when you write on here is certainly something to remember.

Having said that.......wow! What a terrible, horrible thing to have happened! I really pray that the victim has a strong support base. I feel so bad for her!

Yep, looks like we have some hall monitors flagging comments. Oh well...can I say when he gets out he will need an O-ring tuck?
Is THAT bad? I thought we were grownups.

Ahem...okay, sorry if I offended those with sensitive dispositions with my analogy. I cannot promise it won't happen again.

A perfect case for chemical castration should he be found guilty.
