Albany man pleads guilty to forgery
MADISON An Albany funeral home director accused of passing counterfeit money pleaded guilty in agreement that dismissed one charge against him.
Frank “Lance” Bifulk, funeral director at Sharer-Bifulk Funeral Home in Albany and owner of Rosman, Uehling, Kinzer Funeral Home in Beloit, was arrested in Madison on March 7 after he tried to pass counterfeit money at two Madison businesses, police reported.
In a hearing in Dane County Court on Tuesday, one of the two felony forgery charges was dismissed after Bifulk pled guilty.
He will go into the deferred prosecution program on the remaining charge, and he is referred to the First Offenders Program, a secretary in the judge’s office said. If Bifulk fails to meet the program’s guidelines, he would return to court.
