JANESVILLE — Thefts from vehicles are the most common property crimes in Janesville, and a theft reported Tuesday morning underlines the advice to not leave valuables in your vehicle and to always lock it.

A 24-year-old Janesville woman who parked her unlocked car in the 2000 block of Sunnyside Street overnight Monday reported that a bank bag with nearly $1,362 intended for deposit at Johnson Bank was stolen, police reported.

Also reported taken were 20 compact discs valued at $300.
