— Madison Elementary School will begin Red Ribbon Week with a food drive for ECHO and the Salvation Army.

The school is offering other anti-drug activities and messages starting Monday.

Posters about healthy lifestyles created by fourth- and fifth-graders will be displayed in the halls. Classroom buddies plan to plant red tulip bulbs in front of the school. A representative from K&W Greenery will explain and discuss how plants grow to the second-graders as part of their new science curriculum.

Madison School parents willing to help out can call Diana Shadel at (608) 743-6826.

Parents are encouraged to visit www.drugfreeamerica.org.
