Parker continues winning ways
JANESVILLE Janesville Parker High School’s girls soccer team posted its third straight victory, pounding Columbus, 6-1, in nonconference game Friday.
Catie O’Leary and Kelsey Bysted scored two goals apiece in the first half to pace Parker to a 4-1 lead. Busfield and Nicole Strieker scored in the second half for the Vikings.
Columbus goalkeeper Evelyn Rupp made 36 saves, while Parker’s Sam Anacker made one.
“Our defense is solid,” Parker coach Matt Beisser said. “That’s why Columbus gets one shot on goal. We keep people out.’’
Parker travels to Milton for a nonconference game at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Hey Beisser, your team has faced 4 or 5 shots in 3 games, the reason you keep people out is because you play cupcakes for non-conference games, lets be serious. You probably have more talent this year than you've ever had but c'mon, Lodi, Rockford Jefferson, Columbus, huh?????

I just think it's sad that the coach plays little schools to make his record look good. Parker has no business playing schools the size of Columbus and Lodi.

I went to this game tonight to watch my grand daughter play. I saw Columbus score a goal on themselves, but in this article it makes no mention of the "Own Goal". Is Parker padding players stats?
