Sex offender released into Janesville neighborhood

A sex offender was released Friday into the first block of South Academy Street, Janesville, according to a news release from the Janesville Police Department.

Jimmie L. Mable, 60, was released from the Rock Valley Community Programs halfway house between Beloit and Janesville. He was convicted in 1994 of first-degree sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl and second-degree sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl. Mable knew both victims, according to the release.

Mable will be supervised by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections until 2025. His restrictions include:

-- No contact with minors.

-- No alcohol or illegal drugs.

-- Compliance with electronic monitoring.

-- Lifetime registration with the sex offender registry.

-- Lifetime GPS monitoring.

-- Subject to random visits by the department of corrections.

Suggest removal

eversince we got this halfway house rehab center between beloit and janesville we have been getting quit a few of these useless perverts released into housing in our fine city, i hope the owners of the rehab place and the owners of these homes they are moving into sleep well at night,because alot of us do not and we despise you for what you do to make a buck, if one of these people reoffends in our city with one of our children, i know i and i hope others will come looking for you to see how you feel about it, God please watch over our children,their are just not enough police to go around.
