Craig golf team third at East meet

MADISON — Madison Memorial High made the first mark on this season’s Big Eight Conference boys golf season by winning the Madison East Ice Breaker on Monday.

The Spartans won with 316 strokes, topping Sun Prairie by 11 strokes. Janesville Craig was third with 330. Janesville Parker was seventh with 350.

Charlie Roherty led the Cougars with an 81.

Sam Larson led the Vikings with an 81.

Madison La Follette’s Andrew Steinhofer led all golfers with a 73.
