WCLO's Steve Benton has a "tongue in cheek" conversation with Congressman Paul Ryan

RSS

— Janesville native, Congressman Paul Ryan, is known for fiscal conservatism and pushing issues like social security reform. Ryan is considered a rising star in Washington, but the brightness of that star was revealed this week when he was listed as one of the top 50 most beautiful people on Capital Hill, in the Washington based publication "The Hill."

Ryan says he's only trying to impress one person, his wife Janna. Ryan says he doesn't think his stand on issues got him on the list, and it certainly wasn't his clothes, which he says he buys "off the rack" in Milwaukee.

The bottom line according to Ryan is,... there is no bottom line. At the end of the day, Ryan says, that and $1.50, will get you a cup of coffee.

Congressman Paul Ryan, who is very serious about the real issues on capital hill, was very gracious in conducting this "not so serious" interview with the WCLO News Radio 1230 News Department.
