United Auto Workers Local 95 in Janesville has come to a tentative agreement with General Motors.

Shop Chairman John Dohner, Jr isn't giving a particular sticking point that's caused nearly 14 months of negotiations. He says it's "just trying times" and he wants the membership to hear about the contract first. Since workers on the full-size SUV line are on layoff until the week of September 8th, he hasn't been able to get all the information to them. Informational meetings and a ratification vote are being held Friday at Janesville's Holiday Inn Express. A UAW membership card or GM badge is required to attend the meetings and vote.
