Educators with ties to Rock County are in talks with the Oshkosh School District.
Bette Lang recently retired as superintendent for the Stevens Point School District, and now is having "conversations" with the Oshkosh district to see if becoming their interim superintendent would be a good fit. She also served as superintendent of Beloit schools and is married to Tom Evert, Janesville's superintendent. Beloit's current superintendent, Lowell Holtz, was a finalist for the Oshkosh superintendent position. The candidate the Oshkosh school board chose for the position turned it down.
Lang travels to Oshkosh again Monday to talk to the executive team for the search.
