ROCK COUNTY As one ten day deer hunt wraps up in Wisconsin, another less known hunt is just getting underway.
DNR Wildlife supervisor, Doug Fendry, says if you've never experienced the muzzleloading deer hunt, you might want to give it a try. He says there are far fewer hunters to contend with and there's more of a challenge hitting your target.
Fendry says you will need a traditional or modern, single shot, muzzleloading rifle or smoothbore. Scopes are not allowed and you must follow all other hunting safety rules, including wearing blaze orange.
