— The U.S. Navy Blue Angels team is considering attending Southern Wisconsin AirFest 2009, and team representatives will visit Janesville and Beloit this week.

The group's narrator and event coordinator will land at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport for planeside interviews with the media.

The representatives will conduct briefings with local officials and visit local amenities, AirFest Executive Director Tom Morgan said. The Blue Angels have not yet committed to an AirFest stop but will announce their tour later this month.

The Blue Angels last visited AirFest in 2005, Morgan said.

AirFest is scheduled for May 29, 30 and 31 at the airport on Highway 51 between Janesville and Beloit.
