Single family and duplex building permits sharply decline in Janesville

The number of new single family and duplex building permits in Janesville is substantially down for 2008.

Community Development Director Brad Cantrell says Janesville will still see growth because it's in a growth corridor between Madison and Rockford. As of May 31, the year-to-date number of permits was 60 compared to 111 during the same period last year.

Cantrell says the numbers were closer to last year in June.
