WCLO's Beth Wheelock reports on how a sinkhole on North Main Street is expected to get bigger.

A sinkhole is responsible for the barricades on portions of Janesville's North Main Street and Pease Court.

Assistant City Engineering Manager Mike Payne says it looks like the void under the pavement is larger than the hole in the pavement. He says the hole is pretty small, about two feet square and a foot deep. He says the city will monitor the hole and determine the best remedy.

Payne says the hole may be a result of the flooding on Main Street. With the heat this week, he expects more holes to appear in downtown streets.
