Youth membership for the country's oldest 4H fair appears strong.
Rock County UW Extension 4H and Youth Agent Donna Duerst tells WCLO's Stan Milam Show the clubs involved remain strong. Duerst says a lot of if has to do with tradition, and generations of people don't want to let it go. She says occasionally a club will close, but typically another club will start up. Duerst says 4H members aren't all farm kids either.
She says about a third come from farms, but the rest come from Janesville, Beloit, and other non-farm areas.

Wow, another short, uninformative 4-H fair story.
