A Beloit man is in custody after a three-hour standoff Friday.

Beloit Police Captain Bill Tyler says 30-year-old Tywon Barber did not respond to police negotiations and after several hours, SWAT team members deployed chemical munitions into the apartment at 8th Street and Euclid. Barber then surrendered to police. He's being held on two counts of felony bail jumping, burglary, theft, resisting an officer and obstructing an officer.
