Janesville police are seeking an armed robbery suspect.

At about 10 AM Thursday a 34-year-old Janesville woman reported she was walking on the 1000 block of Jackson Street when she was approached by a black man in his mid-twenties. The suspect was riding a black mountain bike with silver lightning bolts. The suspect demanded she turn over money. He did not display a weapon but threatened to stab the victim. She turned over a small amount of money. The suspect fled on the bicycle and was last seen eastbound on Delavan Drive heading towards Beloit Avenue.

The suspect is described as around six foot tall and 140 pounds. He was wearing a blue baseball cap, black wind jacket with a white stripe on the right sleeve, black matching jogger's pants and white tennis shoes.

Anyone with information about this crime can contact the Janesville Police Department at 755-3100 or Janesville Area Crimestoppers at 756-3636.
