Some of us walked over to the hospital and watched the fireworks from there. walking to the sports complex would be a little far to walk if u live up by the hospital.

We went to Freedomfest and the fireworks were AWESOME. I get so tired of hearing the Jaycees whine and mispend the money they get/have. New Life doesn't seem to have any problems getting donations and sponsors for their event. I think Janesville needs to re examine their 4th of July celebration--it's just a big joke!

danias~ having alcohol there is the only way the Jaycees make $$$. And to all of you worried about parking where did you park at Traxler there sure is no 500 car parking lot you park on the streets and parking lots in the surrounding area so I think having a 500 car parking lot and not being next to a smelly river is a heck of a better location!!

I believe the businesses our letting people park there lots and they have fields in the capital cirle to park. Not sure if they're charging to park though in the fields. I'm hoping I can see it from where I live though cause Racine St. is under construction and with there being a beer tent I'll pass on driving around that area. I wish they could of not had the alcohol there it would of been a good event.

read where there is only going to be room to park 500 cars at sports complex. can some one tell me where the rest of us are suppose to park? 500 cars dont even cover the people who usually go to traxler park and that doesnot cover the rest of us who go up by the hospital or stand on memorial bridge or even sit downtown in certain areas. besides isnt racine street blocked off out there due to road contstruction? traffic will be a night mare. better off going to one of the other area fireworks and get home alittle later.
