Brodhead gears up for big volleyball week
BRODHEAD — Brodhead High School is set for a dynamic week of girls volleyball.
The Cardinals play Waukesha Catholic Memorial in the WIAA Division 2 state semifinals at 4 p.m. Friday at the Resch Center in Green Bay, and there will be lots of excitement leading up to it.
A pep rally and send-off for the team is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at the high school, and the public is invited.
If the Cardinals defeat Catholic Memorial, they’ll play Waupun or Rice Lake for the state championship at 3 p.m. Saturday, also at the Resch Center.
Win or lose, there will be a welcome home celebration at the high school at 6 p.m. Sunday.
Tournament tickets will be sold at the high school through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is $8 per session.
Single-session tickets for $1 will be available at the tournament site for children under 6 who are accompanied by a parent.
