Comets crush Purple Knights

— Delavan-Darien High School’s firepower overwhelmed Beloit Memorial in a 73-54 victory in nonconference girls basketball here Saturday afternoon.

Courtney Flood scored 19 points, Alana Cesarz added 18 and Emily Norris chipped in 13 to lead the Comets’ to their fourth straight victory.

Cesarz scored 15 points in the second half to pick up the Comets. Beloit’s Megan Slavish scored 13 points and teammate Kelsey Truttman added 10 points.

Pewaukee 54, Elkhorn 40—Shannon Kalamarz scored all seven Elkhorn’s points in the first quarter as the Elks fell behind by eight and got no closer the rest of the way.

Brianna Entwistle led the Elks with 10, while Pewaukee’s Dana Frett led all scorers with 14.
