— If you've always wanted to ask your great-great-great-great grandfather what it was like during colonial times in America, a visit to Rock County's Beckman Mill Park this weekend might get you an answer.

The park is featuring an authentic colonial encampment of between 30 to 35 people. Colonial Alliance spokesperson, Karen Richardson says the campers will be dressed appropriately for the colonial era, and they'll be performing day to day tasks of that time.

Richardson says the participants don't want you to just watch them, they're looking forward to a conversation. She says they're very knowledgeable of colonial history.

The public is welcome Saturday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. and again on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Beckman Mill Park is located west of Beloit on County Highway "H."
