The incident began as a shooting in Dane County’s Albion Township, just north of Edgerton, according to a Dane County sheriff’s spokeswoman. Details of that incident were not immediately available.

It was not immediately know what route the vehicle took.
Law enforcement officers from Rock County, Edgerton and the State Patrol were involved in what was described as a felony stop at about 11:34 p.m. Taken into custody were five people from Edgerton, Evansville, Janesville and Rockford, Ill.
A .22 caliber, semi-automatic handgun was recovered.
Dane County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Elise Shaffer said she expected to find out more and release details later today.
