The Janesville Jaycees are making final preparations for their 6th Annual Haunted Train Ride.

The train ride opens Saturday at the Rock River Thresheree grounds on Highway 51 between Janesville and Edgerton. The train will leave every 20 minutes from 2 to 10 p.m. Saturdays, Oct. 11, 18, 25; 2 to 7 p.m. Sundays, Oct. 12, 19, 26, and 6 to 10 p.m. Halloween night, Friday, Oct. 31. Admission is free for those 2 and younger, $4 for those 3 to 5 and $6 for those 6 and older. The 2 to 4 p.m. matinees are least scary. Rides from 4 to 6 p.m. are scarier, and rides from 6 to 10 p.m. are the scariest. Concessions will include hot beverages and baked goods. Activities include children’s Halloween games and pumpkin decorating.
