Parker runners warm up at Middleton

MIDDLETON — Janesville Parker High’s boys and girls cross country teams warmed up for the Big Eight Conference Meet by competing in the Middleton Invitational on Saturday.

The Parker boys finished third in the seven-team field with 49 points, while the Parker girls were fourth with 62.

Junior Brooke King finished fourth in the girls race to pace the Parker runners. King finished with a time of 15:47, while Sun Prairie’s Elizabeth Berkholtz won the 4,000-meter race in 15:15.

Parker senior Duncan Brose was ninth overall in the boys 5,000-meter race with a time of 17:58. Spencer Houk of Sun Prairie won with a time of 17:01.

The Big Eight Conference Meet is Saturday at Middleton.
