A former Janesville City Councilman says he decided to run for Congress when he heard about the government's financial rescue plan.

Greg Addie has registered as a write-in candidate with the state Government Accountability Board. He faces incumbent Paul Ryan and Democrat Marge Krupp in the race for the First Congressional District.

In 2006, Addie unsuccessfully challenged incumbent Judy Robson for the 15th State Senate District seat.

Soooooo, 3 little weeks before the election Greg Addie thinks of himself as a public hero, riding to the rescue because he "heard" about the government's rescue plan. If he thinks that anybody will gain from his candidacy he's even more delusional that I thought.
