— UW-Whitewater has received a $10,000 donation from the UW Credit Union to go toward scholarships at the university.

"We are grateful for the UW Credit Union’s generosity to help make college more affordable for our students," said Jon Enslin, assistant chancellor for university advancement and president of the UW-Whitewater Foundation.

The UW Credit Union also will match contributions from its members up to $10,000 through Dec. 31, and the UW-Whitewater Foundation will match contributions up to another $10,000.

Enslin said the goal is to raise $40,000 for a need-based scholarship endowment.

Information on how to donate is available at the UW Credit Union branch at UW-Whitewater or online at www.uwcu.org/About/News/Scholarships.aspx. Questions should be directed to Enslin at (262) 472-1482 or enslinj@uww.edu.

In addition to supporting UW-Whitewater, the UW Credit Union also will donate $10,000 each to UW-Stevens Point and UW-Green Bay, $50,000 to UW-Milwaukee and $215,000 to UW-Madison.
