Madison La Follette lost just 13 games in eight sets of singles matches en route to a 5-2 victory over visiting Janesville Craig in Big Eight girls tennis Tuesday.

“They’re too steady across the board,” Craig High coach Camilla Owen said. “They’re stronger in singles, and we’re stronger in doubles.”

Craig’s No. 1 and No. 2 doubles teams of Hailey Smith/Taylor Storbakken and Olivia Ehlers/Emily Reshower won their matches. Ehlers and Reshower needed three sets. Both teams improved to 3-0 in the Big Eight, while the Cougars fell to 1-2.
