A Rock county murder trial is expected to go to the jury Thursday.
Prosecutors spent Monday, Tuesday, and much of Wednesday using witnesses in an attempt to place 22-year-old Rick Freeman at the scene of a 2005 shooting death. Several witnesses appeared reluctant to describe what they may have seen. 20-year-old Maurice Hanna of Beloit was found shot in the head just before noon on November 9th. Authorities say the shooting was an act of retaliation. Freeman wasn't apprehended by police until late last year when he was involved in a traffic accident.
Closing arguments in the case are scheduled for 9:00 Thursday morning.
