Accidents
- 610 E. MEMORIAL DRIVE, JANESVILLE, at 1:26 p.m. Wednesday. A car driven by Thomas J. McCarthy, 83, of 2738 Park Place Lane, Janesville, was backing out of the parking lot of Choice Cleaners when McCarthy’s foot slipped and hit the accelerator. The car backed into a utility pole. McCarthy was treated and released at Mercy Hospital, Janesville.
- EAST RACINE STREET AND SOUTH WRIGHT ROAD in Janesville at 12:05 p.m. Tuesday, a motorcycle driven by Edward J. Capaul, 52, Lubbock, Texas, turned left and struck a car driven by Lauren E. McGrath, 16, of 4450 Rockingham Drive, Janesville. Capaul was in critical condition Friday morning at Mercy Hospital in Janesville. He was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way.
