West defeats Craig tennis team
MADISON Janesville Craig’s No. 1 doubles team of Hailey Smith and Taylor Storbakken improved to 6-1 in Big Eight girls tennis Thursday, but that was the Cougars’ only win in a 6-1 dual loss to Madison West.
Smith and Taylor won 6-3, 6-7, 6-1 after suffering their first conference loss Tuesday.
“It was great to see those two get back on the winning track,” Craig coach Camilla Owen said. “That was a good win for them against a pretty good team.”
Craig is at Verona on Tuesday in its second-to-last conference dual meet.
