The nation's financial predicament isn't slowing down donations to the United Way of North Rock County.

Resource Development Director Tammy Gore says people recognize times are tough and step up to help where they can because they know the need is greater. The campaign has reached about twenty percent of its goal, or nearly $282,000.

Gore says it's hard to compare this year's fundraising with last year, since General Motors provided more than $300,000 last year.
