BELOIT — Focus on Energy likes the new Kerry Ingredients headquarters building in Beloit and hands out nearly $200,000 to prove it.

The new $60 million dollar building has many new energy saving features, like a state of the art "reflecting" roof. It also has a high tech building shell to save on insulations costs and high performance lighting, building mechanical and plumbing systems designed to minimize energy use.

For all these measures, Focus on Energy, Wisconsin's energy efficiency and renewable energy program, gave Kerry a cash incentive of $198,000. It's a "win win" situation for the company, says Marketing Manager for Focus on Energy, Amanda Wollin. She says not only does Kerry get the incentive money, but they'll also save about $195,000 per year on energy costs because of the new "green" building.
