Rock County libraries celebrate National Library Week

WCLO's Beth Wheelock reports how local libraries are celebrating.

During National Library Week, local libraries are showing Rock County residents all they have to offer.

Arrowhead Library System Director Ruth Ann Montgomery says people may not realize libraries have DVDs, CDs, books on tape and job resource centers. She says use of the system's RockCat shared catalogue connecting the public libraries has skyrocketed. In the last three months, 30,000 items circulated among the seven libraries.

All seven have various activities this week, except for the Beloit Public Library. That library is closed as it moves into its new facility in the Eclipse Center.
