A Milton woman received a disturbing phone call about 3:00 Sunday morning.
Milton Police Chief Jerry Schuetz says it was from her estranged husband in Madison. He's accused of threatening to come to Milton to slit her throat. Schuetz says a Rock County Deputy was able to make a traffic stop, but the suspect fled on foot. Using a Janesville police canine unit, and the suspect's own cell phone, police were able to track him to a restaurant in Janesville.
About three hours later, Schuetz says 28-year-old Matthew S. Fritz was arrested on charges related to the incident.
