WCLO's Steve Benton reports on city manager, Eric Levitt's latest evaluation

RSS

— The Janesville City Council gives City Manager, Eric Levitt, good grades for the last six months.

Council President, Bill Truman, says the council went through the evaluation process in a closed session at Monday's council meeting. Truman says they graded Levitt on about 30 issues using a one to ten system. Levitt got sevens or higher, according to Truman. He also says Levitt is doing better in several areas including communications with staff and the council.

Truman says compensation was also discussed and it was decided that Levitt's salary, like all other city employees, should be frozen because of the economy. Truman says Levitt "was okay with that."
