Two convicted sex offenders living in Janesville are in a new home because a bank foreclosed on their previous residence on South Academy St.

Acting Police Chief Dave Moore says the Department of Corrections was able to find a home for Duane A. Huber and John Sweeney on North Academy Street, about a block away from their last home. Neighbors have been notified of the move. Both men served time in prison and are on probation for first degree sexual assault of a child, and in both incidents the men assaulted young male acquaintances. Moore says both men have been long-term residents at their South Academy residence, and patrol officers have notified neighbors and businessness near the North Academy residence.
