Eight candidates turn in papers for Janesville School Board race

All eight potential candidates who took out nomination papers for the Janesville School Board's spring election have returned them by Tuesday's filing deadline.

Incumbents Greg Ardrey, DuWayne Severson, Peter Severson and Lori Stottler are seeking re-election. Challengers Karl Dommeshausen, Jim Farrell, Tom Lemmer and Diedre Richard also hope to fill one of five open seats on the board. The school district still needs to verify addresses and signatures on the nomination papers before the candidates are put on the ballot.
