Craig, Parker swimmers fall in Madison
MADISON Janesville Craig High School gave Madison West all it could handle, but lost 99-71 in a Big Eight Conference boys dual meet swimming Friday in Madison.
“I can’t remember the last time Craig kept a West team under 100 points,” Craig coach Brian Kitzman said.
Nick Hazekamp won the 200 freestyle in 1 minute, 52.16 seconds and the 100 backstroke in 55.83. Craig also won the 200 medley relay with Hazekamp, Alex Loftus, Sam Waddell and Matt Enloe. Craig falls to 3-3 in the Big Eight.
“The 200 medley team dropped almost a full second off their best time,” Kitzman said. “Sam Waddell and Nick Loftus had an excellent meet.”
The Cougars will travel to the Menominee Falls Invitational at 1 p.m. today.
