The Janesville City Council is receiving an update on parking near the city's senior center, a topic of disagreement between the city and seniors.
Assistant City Manager Jay Winzenz says the relocation of Mercy Options employee parking seems to have reduced the demand for parking.
If the city council wants to create more parking, staff members have prepared information about converting Water Street and St. Lawrence Avenue into one-way streets to provide angle parking.
Parking stalls near the senior center could also be designated for permit parking between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The city council considers it Monday night.
