WCLO's Stan Stricker reports on tentative Parkview teacher's contract

RSS

Parkview School District teachers are likely to have a new contract when students return to the classroom this fall.

District Administrator Steve Lutzke says a tentative agreement was reached this week. He says it includes a 3.9% increase for each of the next two years. The district also changed health insurance providers this year, reflecting a lower increase in premiums compared to recent years, so teachers might actually see more in their paychecks. Lutzke says he couldn't be happier, and the children should benefit from the mood brought about by a settled contract.

Teachers and the school board are expected to approve the plan August 26th.
