Janesville superintendent considers restructuring

With the resignation of a top administrator in the Janesville school district, the superintendent says she plans to restructure the district's top-level positions.

Superintendent Karen Schulte says she intended to do some restructuring before Steve Salerno, director of administration and human services, announced his resignation last week. Salerno is taking a similar position in the La Crosse school district. Schulte says she plans to hire a human resources director, and the staffing changes will not be very dramatic. She expects to complete the changes over the next several months.

Schulte's former position as director of student services was not filled after she became superintendent. The district's director of business services is also retiring this summer.
